Penton Street

A new three storey property has been constructed on a reclaimed site with limited access. The property has a partial basement and has been conceived as a lightweight masonry and timber structure sat on a reinforced concrete raft.

It was necessary to underpin existing perimeter walls and to carefully sequence the works in order to form the new raft and maintain stability of neighbouring buildings.

Glulam beams have been used to form long span beams and to trim openings thereby limiting the number of trades required on site.
