BLOK Studio 3 London

An elegant steel framework was required to provide support to gym equipment. A key aspect of such a design is appreciating how the equipment will be used during the course of its life. Current codes do not necessarily cover all areas of loading that are applicable to gym use. We therefore had to consider load cases that would reflect how the gym would be used and these created the worst case loading arrangement. Whilst there were some main elements of structure of traditional moderate size, most of the components were deliberately sized to be slender enough to be part of the gym equipment and appear tactile.
